Go through and take out any background noise that was caught by the microphone. Take out breaths you don't want, or maybe go back and record some new material instead. Then, whenever you are happy with your recording session, go ahead and press the gray box, the one Circle 3 is on, to end your recording.įrom here, make sure to clean up your audio. When recording your own audio, make sure to leave about five seconds of dead air before you speak so that you can edit out the background noise on your audio. Whenever you are ready to record, press the red button with a red circle on it, circled on the screenshot as Circle 2. Mine is currently set on my computer's default microphone which is the one it comes with, but if I was recording I would like that set to "Blue Yeti" instead. On 1 Circle, make sure Audacity is using the correct microphone for recording.
